Productivity

For the last two days I have written about ten tasks that you can trim out of your to-do list to leave things much more focused and streamlined. However, one of the issues that people may not be aware of is what the advantages of having a slimmed down list are. Below are the key benefits so you can start getting the most from your to-do lists.
Easier to complete
It pretty much goes without saying that a to-do list of six key tasks is a lot easier to complete than a list containing twenty mixed up items. And a to-do list that can be completed more easily has other advantages too. Seeing as one of the benefits of a to-do list is the satisfaction of ticking off a task as complete, there is nothing more motivational for being productive than to get your to-do list finished everyday.
More focus on the important tasks
When you have a huge list of tasks, it’s often difficult to dig through all the chaff to find out what work really needs doing over everything else. By trimming down the list using my guide it reveals the really important stuff you need to focus on. Not getting distracted by the unnecessary tasks gives you more time and energy to use productively.
Make the most of the to-do list
The to-do list is a tool for tracking tasks you need to do, with a motivational bonus from ticking items off as complete so trimming down your tasks to those that really matter allows you to take advantage of that. Using it to, for example, remind yourself about everyday issues such as food for your shopping list, or using it to track your habit building progress will not be very effective.
It’s much more simple
If your to-do list is simplified down it requires less effort, attention and time to work your way through it, as well as being less stressful and confusing. Who doesn’t want to feel those benefits? Why make our work harder than it needs to be?
